Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- using the NHS Wales App
- by phoning us on 01633 742960 and we will tell you what the results are
As a general rule:
- Most blood test results are available within seven working days.
- X-ray results are usually available within ten days, although they can take longer at times.
- Cervical smear results are posted directly to patients (from Cervical Screening Wales) within eight weeks of the smear test.
We will often ask patients to speak to, or make an appointment with the GP if we feel their result needs an explanation, this does not mean there is anything seriously wrong.
